Cache #30: End of the Line

So right near the entrance to this park is a telephone pole.  No wires.  No other poles around.  Just this thing.  There's still an anchor cable, but it looks like it's been there for ages.

Anyway, Rei and I stopped by this one first before the Aviary, but couldn't make heads or tails of it.  The spot it should be around is obvious.  The exact spot however, is not.  On our way back out of the park, we turned on our flashlights and had one more look around the area.  The page says the cache size was "Other", which I knew meant a nano, or something really strange.  Took a look around the area one more time, and noticed something I hadn't spotted earlier.  Grabbed and pulled it out, and found the cache on the other side!  Great show, 3/3 with no DNFs.  I signed for both of us and plugged it back in, then we quickly escaped the trail before we ended up bit to death.

As I'll be moving, I don't expect another cache for a week or three (assuming I don't lose interest right away again).  But if I do keep going, there's a whole 'nother coast full of stuff to find!  Also, Seattle is home to Geocaching HQ, so I should definitely stop by there sometime.

End of the Line
