Hiatus

Well, my car was fixed pretty quick, and I'm able to drive around again.  However, my phone's GPS decided to start sucking something fierce.  So basically that makes Geocaching really hard/impossible for now.  So I'm not going to bother again until I upgrade my phone or buy a dedicated unit (eyeing the Garmin eTrex 30).

No idea when that'll be, so until then, happy trails.

Cache #26: SOS #2 - Cash Stash

No, we didn't find any cash inside unfortunately.  XD  A hueg container, biggest I've seen so far.  Mum spotted it from far off, thought I thought it was just trash in the area at first.  Pried open the lid and what do ya know!  Lots of damp knick-knacks and a combination bank holding the log, haha.  We didn't take anything from here, though there was a neat little sea turtle.  Tried hiding it back a bit better than it was, although for a cacher it might be more conspicuous now, haha.

Only two finds today, but I'll be sure to remedy that later on. >:3

Cache #25: Mad Skillz #5 Academy Junction

After a couple false starts, I managed to get the parents out on a small Geocaching adventure!  But wow, this one was a dump.  Trash just everywhere at the back of the parking lot here.  Even saw a discarded black bra and a flashlight.  Hmmm...   Hahaha

The cache itself was pretty easy to spot, I'd seen this kind of hide once before.  Mumsie had to get victory shots to share though, especially after the first couple adventures didn't turn up anything.  Speaking of which, my cell GPS was being dumber than usual today, I may have to invest in a proper GPSr sooner than I thought.

Bust

So, today was gonna be a big Geocaching day.  Y'know, get out there early, stay late, hit dozens of spots whilst dodging suspicious muggles and diving into treacherous wilderness, all in the name of the grand prize, a pill bottle with a roll of paper inside!  Of course, my car had other plans.  After Rocky Road (which I failed to find), I hiked back to my car, only to have it not start.  It didn't even try, just clicked and nothing.  asdf.  asdfasdf.  So, over the next couple hours, Dad came by, then Triple A, and finally a tow truck.  Hoping that can be fixed this week, puts me in a spot for work as well.

At least the WB&A Trail was nice.  I found some wild bamboo too!  haha
