First cache in over 2 years! I was leaving for Washington on Sunday, and Rei managed to get some free time to hang out, so what better than to go run through the woods on a summer evening and get covered in bugs!?
Almost ended up driving off before even starting. The description mentioned an entrance, but it was obscured by the summer foliage from the parking spot. Drove past, went "Oooohh!", turned around and parked again. The trail itself was also overgrown, though still well discernable. Was confused a couple times as the bushes on either side were practically brushing each other and I wasn't sure it was the actual path.
Found the site easily enough after the footbridges, though there was a steep hill we had to climb covered in pointy leaves. I ended up going up too far looking for it, but Rei managed to spot the hiding place. Decent sized cache, nice and dry. Good start for Rei. And then she went and basically slid down the hill. Haha, I guess that's one way to do it.
